Edit Drafts & Auto-Detection

Overview

Sync My Cards lets sellers prep their listings as drafts and push them out to a bunch of marketplaces at once. Editing those drafts, and getting the card details right, is the thing sellers do over and over. I redesigned the add and edit card flow along with Edit Drafts, and built auto detection so a lot of the card info fills itself in.

The Problem

• 🚫Typing in card details for every single draft was slow, and it was the biggest pain for sellers doing real volume
• 🚫The Edit Drafts flow was clunky and made cleaning up a batch of cards tedious
• 🚫Details like rarity, serial, and parallel weren't structured, so they didn't map cleanly to marketplace fields
• 🚫Sellers had no real sense of how complete a listing was before they published it

The Goals

• 🎯Make editing drafts fast, especially when you are working through a lot of them
• 🎯Add structured card fields that only show when they make sense for the category
• 🎯Auto detect those fields from the card title so sellers barely have to type
• 🎯Show clear completion guidance and map everything correctly to eBay

What I Shipped

• 🎮Rebuilt the Edit Drafts flow and a quick edit popup with a live completion percentage so sellers can see what is still missing
• 🎮Added structured fields for Rarity, Card Number, Serial, Language, and Parallel, gated by category so you only see the ones that matter
• 🎮Auto detection that reads the card title as you type and fills in those fields for you
• 🎮Admin detection managers so the team can edit the rules behind each field without code
• 🎮eBay aspect mapping so the new fields carry straight through to cross listings

The Results

Shipped in June 2026. Sellers are putting up cleaner, more complete listings with a lot less manual typing. (Metrics to add, like time per draft or field completion rate.)
